The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Accuracy Checking Technician to join our thriving private online pharmacy team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring patients across the UK receive their medication safely, accurately, and efficiently.

The Role
As an Accuracy Checking Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out the final accuracy check of dispensed prescriptions that have been clinically screened by a pharmacist. Working within a fast-paced online pharmacy environment, you will help ensure the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete final accuracy checks on dispensed medicines and associated items in line with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
- Ensure prescriptions are accurately assembled, labelled, packed, and ready for dispatch.
- Work closely with pharmacists, dispensers, and support staff to maintain efficient dispensary workflows.
- Identify, report, and escalate dispensing errors, discrepancies, and near misses through appropriate governance procedures.
- Support prescription processing, stock management, and workflow organisation within a high-volume digital pharmacy environment.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues, patients, and external partners via telephone, email, and digital systems where required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with confidentiality, GDPR, and information governance requirements.
- Contribute to audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and safe working practices across the pharmacy.
About You
We're looking for a highly organised and detail-focused individual who thrives in a regulated environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Essential Skills & Experience
- GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician with an accredited checking qualification.
- Previous experience working within a pharmacy dispensary environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on patient safety and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using pharmacy systems and digital workflows.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within a private, online, mail-order, or hub-based pharmacy.
- Familiarity with automated or centralised dispensing processes.
- Experience supporting high-volume prescription workflows.
- Knowledge of medicines governance, stock control procedures, and audit processes.
