Acquisitions & Growth Specialist

General Insurance - M&A Division

UK / Hybrid Role

At IDEX, we're looking for an experienced insurance professional to join our growing Client Solutions team as an Acquisitions & Growth Specialist.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong network across the General Insurance market who is passionate about building relationships, identifying opportunities and supporting brokers throughout their growth journey.

Working alongside our Client Solutions Director and Regional Leadership teams, you'll be instrumental in identifying acquisition opportunities, developing long-term relationships with brokers and connecting buyers and sellers across the UK insurance market. This is far more than a business development role - it's an opportunity to become a trusted advisor to insurance businesses and play a key role in shaping the future of the sector.

What you'll be doing

  • Build and nurture relationships with Insurance Brokers, MGAs and industry leaders across the UK.
  • Identify and cultivate acquisition opportunities, managing prospects from initial introduction through to completion.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of acquisition and growth opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to brokers, supporting conversations around succession planning, growth strategies and future ambitions.
  • Build long-term relationships with both buyers and sellers, ensuring exceptional client experience throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Work closely with our Client Solutions Director, Regional Managers and recruitment teams to identify opportunities and maximise market intelligence.
  • Represent IDEX at industry events and continue to strengthen our reputation as the market-leading partner for acquisitions and growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
