Acquisitions Manager, Residential, PBSA & Development
Location: Manchester
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 per annum
MCR Property Group is a leading investment and development company operating across a diverse range of sectors, including residential, purpose built student accommodation, offices, retail, and industrial property.
With a residential development pipeline of approximately 9,000 homes scheduled for construction and redevelopment over the next three years, alongside a commercial portfolio exceeding £1 billion in assets, MCR continues to expand its presence across the residential, PBSA, and commercial markets.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Acquisitions Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded property professional to play a key role in identifying and securing opportunities across multiple asset classes throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Source and assess acquisition opportunities across residential, PBSA, and commercial sectors, both on and off market.
- Undertake development appraisals, residual valuations, and cash flow analysis for development sites of varying scale and complexity.
- Coordinate and manage input from external consultants and professional advisers.
- Negotiate commercial terms with landowners, developers, and agents.
- Review, understand, and assist in the negotiation of legal agreements.
- Identify value creation opportunities while assessing and mitigating potential risks.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience within acquisitions, development, or a related real estate discipline.
- Strong commercial understanding of the residential market, with the ability to assess development potential and market opportunities.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities and evaluate associated risks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience engaging with colleagues, clients, and financial stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- An established network within the UK real estate industry.
- Flexible approach, with a willingness to travel nationally and work remotely when required.

About You
The successful candidate will be an ambitious and driven property professional with a strong track record in acquisitions and development. You will be comfortable working across multiple sectors and locations, bringing both strategic thinking and commercial acumen to support MCR Property Group's continued growth.
