The Role

The role

As an Activation Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of how plans are brought to life, specialising in Audio and Display channels and working closely with Planning, Trading and Client teams to ensure campaigns are delivered with precision, creativity and rigour.

You’ll be responsible for leading implementational planning and buying across your clients, ensuring activity aligns with business objectives, communication frameworks and KPIs. This is a hands-on role for someone who cares deeply about detail, innovation and performance, and who wants to help build one of the strongest activation teams in the UK.

You’ll also play an important role in developing junior talent and strengthening relationships with media owners, helping the7stars continue to deliver market-leading activation.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver Best-in-Class Activation

    • Deliver high-quality, market-leading media plans across Audio, Display and Publishing.
    • Ensure plans are implemented with precision and creativity, maintaining the integrity of the planning idea through to delivery.
    • Execute and deliver best-in-class PCAs across the agency.
  • Drive Innovation & Media Excellence

    • Stay on top of trends, technology and platform developments, translating these into meaningful opportunities for clients.
    • Bring fresh thinking and innovation into implementational planning, with a clear focus on award-worthy work.

  • Collaborate Closely with Client & Planning Teams

    • Work closely with Client teams to ensure campaigns align to business objectives, comms platforms and KPIs.
    • Attend client status and reporting calls to ensure excellence in delivery and performance.
  • Build Strong Media Owner Relationships

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with media owners and suppliers.
    • Proactively seek out new-to-market opportunities for clients and lead regular media owner sessions.
  • Support Trading, Forecasting & Governance

    • Support the wider Activation and Trading teams through supplier management and value forecasting.
    • Assist with the management and delivery of audit guarantees across PRF clients.
  • Develop & Support the Team

    • Help develop and upskill junior planners and buyers, setting clear roles, responsibilities and expectations.
    • Encourage accountability, curiosity and high standards across the team.

About You

Core Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in media planning and/or buying, ideally with a focus on Audio and/or Display.
  • Strong understanding of implementational planning and campaign delivery.
  • A passion for innovation and delivering award-winning work through activation excellence.
  • Highly motivated to drive value and performance for clients.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
  • Established supplier and media owner relationships.
