About the Role

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an Activation Specialist (Social) for a temporary 6-month fixed-term contract, supporting the Paid Media team at our Soho, London office. This hybrid role (office-based and work from home) will report to the Associate Director, Growth Marketing.

Mission

The perfect candidate will drive the execution, reporting, and optimization of Blizzard’s Paid Social campaigns during a period of heightened campaign activity across platforms like Meta, Reddit, TikTok, and Snap.

Responsibilities

Over the course of this 6-month contract, the Activation Specialist (Social) will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with strategy, operations, and other activation team members to plan, build, and efficiently launch upcoming paid campaigns across Meta, Reddit, TikTok, and Snap.
  • Executing paid social campaign workflows, including trafficking, QA, and ad operations, to ensure high accuracy and timeliness. This involves:
    • Launching new assets and copy
    • Generating screenshots and QA’ing live links in accordance with safe zone guidelines
  • Working cross-functionally to brief, review, and launch new assets and ad copy.
  • Monitoring daily campaign pacing using dashboards and reporting tools, and assessing performance of active campaigns.
  • Making regular data-driven optimizations to maximize performance against critical KPIs, including:
    • ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
    • CPA (Cost Per Acquisition)
    • CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)
    • Efficient reach
    • Views
    • Brand lift
  • Preparing and presenting weekly performance reports to the Associate Director, highlighting trends, storytelling data insights, and strategic recommendations for measurable business impact.
  • Identifying and pitching ongoing testing and innovation opportunities.
  • Owning financial tracking for assigned campaigns, ensuring vendor billing and payments are accurate and compliant.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience activating Paid Social performance campaigns (regional or global account preferred).
  • Proven expertise in optimizing campaigns towards KPIs such as ROAS, CPA, CAC, efficient reach, views, and brand lift.
  • Strong ability to quickly become productive in a contract-based role with defined timelines and deliverables.
  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills—able to extract actionable insights from complex datasets and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving mindset.
    • Capable of managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Comfortable with large budget management and investment tracking.
  • Flexibility to occasionally support early evening work during peak campaign periods.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certification in platforms like Meta (Facebook & Instagram Ads), Reddit Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Ads, and Snap.
  • Passionate gamer with deep knowledge of Blizzard games, products, and services (Warcraft®, Overwatch®, Diablo®, StarCraft®).
