Activities Assistant - Care Home
About The Activities Assistant Role
At Kingswood Court Care Home, you'll deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities to create an engaging, motivational and fulfilling environment for our residents. This role focuses on helping each resident explore their passions and make meaningful connections with friends, family, and their local community.
The Activities Assistant will play a key part in designing and delivering an entertainment programme, covering:
- A wide range of pastimes
- Social activities for engagement
- Outings & special events
- Initiatives to support independent living
This is a part-time position, requiring 2 days per week (typically 9am–5pm, though start/finish times are flexible based on home needs). Shift rotations include:
- Every other weekend
- Followed by 2 weekday shifts the next week

While prior care home experience isn’t essential, what matters most is:

- A desire to encourage and inspire others
- A genuine passion for supporting our residents
You’ll thrive if you’re enthusiastic, empathetic, and eager to help residents live their best lives. We’ll provide opportunities for training to develop your skills across all aspects of the role.
