Activities Assistant
Activities Assistant - £12.85 per hour
Location: 2 Wickmeads Road, Tuckton, Bournemouth, BH6 4LG Hours: 30 hours per week (including alternate weekends), 8:30 - 16:00 (occasional shifts until 20:00)
About the Role
Join Wickmeads, a residential care home near Bournemouth, as our Activities Assistant! Help plan and deliver a tailored programme of engaging social activities that promote wellbeing, connection, and enjoyment for our residents—including those with dementia.
About You

Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of diverse social and therapeutic activities, including:
- Planning and organising a calender of events that enhances residents’ quality of life
- Tailoring activities to individual interests and abilities (with attention to residents living with dementia)
- Observing residents’ needs, sharing concerns with the care team
- Assisting at mealtimes to create a sociable, enjoyable dining experience
- Encouraging independence and active participation in daily routine
