Location: Hereford & Leominster (Southbank & Ridgemoor Services)

Hours: 37

Salary: £24,613

About The Role

This is more than just organising activities-it’s about creating experiences that matter.

You’ll design and deliver a varied, person-centred programme of activities that support residents’ physical, emotional and social wellbeing. From day-to-day engagement to special events and community outings, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing quality of life.

Working closely with residents, families, and care teams, you’ll ensure every activity reflects individual preferences, abilities and goals-whether that’s a quiet one-to-one session or a lively group event.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Planning and delivering engaging daily, weekly and monthly activity programmes
  • Organising creative, social, educational and recreational sessions
  • Supporting both group activities and one-to-one engagement
  • Encouraging residents to try new experiences and maintain independence
  • Organising outings and trips within the local community
  • Booking and coordinating external entertainers and speakers
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, and professionals
  • Supporting residents to stay connected with their community, culture, and interests
  • Monitoring participation and evaluating the success of activities
  • Maintaining accurate records using digital and paper-based systems
  • Contributing to a safe, respectful and person-centred environment
  • Occasionally supporting residents with support care needs during activities

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about improving the lives of others
  • Creative, proactive and full of ideas
  • Empathetic, patient, and kind
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills
  • Motivated to encourage and inspire others

You’ll Also Have

  • Experience working in health and social care, or with vulnerable adults
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Digital skills to research, plan and organise activities
  • An understanding of person-centred care and health promotion

Additional Requirements

  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to drive (to support community activities and outings)
  • Willingness to undertake training and development
  • Enhanced DBS check required
