Activities Coordinator

Neale Court Care Home in Lincoln, LN6 9UA - Part of the Country Court Family

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week, working weekends on rota

Neale Court Care home in Lincoln is a welcoming and homely environment for those with a variety of needs. The home is small and cosy, allowing us to create a real family atmosphere. Our compassionate staff led by the Manager are on hand 24 hours a day to ensure that they are safe and well looked after.

We are looking for an Activities Coordinator with creative flare and out-of-the-box thinking to organise, run events and activities for our residents. From pumpkin-carving, to budding gardening, crafts, and more - no two days will ever be the same as you support our residents to try new things and ensure they feel connected with the wider community.

What you will be doing:

  • Organise varied activities within the Home to cater for a variety of interests and life stories for individuals, small groups, and large numbers of residents.
  • Meet targets set out to improve our resident’s lives which includes getting to know every resident through our 'Resident of the Day' programme.
  • Work together with other local community groups and the wider local area.
  • Bring fun, ideas, and energy into our residents’ lives! Inspire others through great relationships, to deliver a range of thought-provoking wellbeing ideas.
  • Coordinate a wide range of trips & experiences within the local area for small groups & individuals.
  • Arrange key events throughout the year, such as seasonal celebrations & charity events.

About You

We are looking for someone who is friendly, welcoming, and entertaining, and would ensure all activities are appropriate for all residents.

  • An understanding of the care sector would be advantageous.
  • Have a friendly & caring attitude.
  • Good planning & development skills.
  • Able to engage well with the residents and their families.
  • Be proactive, passionate, and a supportive team player, with experience of maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
  • You will be going out and about, networking, planning activities, and with residents, therefore having access to your own vehicle with business insurance is essential.
