About Haddington Care Home
Haddington Care Home is a well-established provider of Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite, and Palliative care, serving up to 68 residents in a supportive, high-standard environment. With a strong team culture and a focus on continuous development, the home fosters meaningful professional growth while enabling staff to make a real difference in residents' lives.
Role Overview
As the Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing daily life by designing and delivering engaging, inclusive, and person-centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence, and social connection for residents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering a diverse programme of group and individual activities, tailored to personal interests, abilities, and care needs.
- Building strong relationships with residents to understand preferences and ensure inclusive participation, especially for those with dementia or other sensory/physical challenges.
- Collaborating with the care team to maintain a positive and stimulating environment where residents feel valued, active, and connected.

Job Details
- Contract Type: Full-time
- Salary: £13.52 per hour
- Contract Hours: 35 per week (over 5 days, including weekends)
- Benefits:
- PVG scheme membership paid
- Company pension scheme
- Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part-time roles)
What We Are Looking For

- Creativity, organisation, and enthusiasm for meaningful work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport.
- Ability to plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities.
- A genuine commitment to supporting and empowering older adults.
- Experience working independently or as part of a team.
- Previous activities, care, hospitality, event management, childcare, or community role experience is helpful but not essential. Transferable skills are highly valued.
