Activities Coordinator

Activities Coordinator - Abbeyfield Living Society

Role: Activities Coordinator

✅ Location: Bradbury House, Gosforth, Seascale, CA20 1AU

🕒 Hours: 21 hours per week 💰 Pay: £12.77 – £12.98 per hour

📅 Rota:

  • Monday: 10am – 2pm
  • Tuesday: 3:30pm – 8pm
  • Wednesday: 10am – 2pm
  • Thursday: 3:30pm – 8pm
  • Friday: 10am – 2pm

About the Role

Abbeyfield believes that social and mental well-being is as essential as physical health. As an Activities Coordinator, you will:

  • Plan and deliver a varied range of social activities tailored to individual needs, including residents with dementia.
  • Get to know residents personally and collaborate with them on activity planning, ensuring engagement meets their preferences and capabilities.
  • Build meaningful relationships by incorporating residents’ life stories and interests into tailored activities.
  • Partner with staff and volunteers, harnessing their expertise and motivating them as part of the process.
  • Organise supplies and manage logistics efficiently, addressing concerns promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of engagement and past/planned activities.

Additional Requirements

⚠ To be eligible for this role, you will need:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Two satisfactory professional references
  • Ability to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (funded by Abbeyfield)
  • Willingness to disclose all convictions (failure to do so may result in revocation of an offer)
