About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and creative Activities Coordinator based at Eastfield Residential Home, where proximity to our site is a priority.
As the Activities Coordinator, your work will focus on supporting residents' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing, particularly for those living with dementia. Your role is critical in empowering residents to remain active, socially connected, and content in daily life.
Key Responsibilities
You will plan and deliver a programme of activities designed to improve quality of life, including:
- Daily, engaging activities that cater to residents' interests and abilities.
- Group events, seasonal celebrations, and entertaining performances within the home.
- Community outings and engagement opportunities as appropriate.
- Inclusive, person-centred support to encourage autonomy and social connection.
- Companionship and emotional support for residents.
- Documentation and reflection of activities and resident outcomes.
- Collaboration with the care team to ensure all initiatives align with residents’ individual needs.

Preferred (Not Essential) Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in activities coordination, care environments, or leisure/senior services.
- Certification in dementia care training (a plus).
- Basic computer skills for scheduling and documentation.
Requirements
Acquired knowledge:
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Familiarity with dementia awareness practices (training provided).
- Ability to work flexibly, independently, and collaboratively.
