Activities Coordinator – Lowgate

Location: Lowgate, Hexham, NE46 2NN

Contract: 16 Hours/week – 2 days out of 7 (flexible working required)


About the Role

Roseberry Care is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Activities Coordinator to help enhance the well-being, independence, and quality of life of our residents through engaging activities in a warm and supportive care environment.

Your Responsibilities

As the Activities Coordinator, you will:

  • Develop and implement a varied program of activities tailored to residents’ needs and interests, including daily, weekly, and monthly engagements
  • Encourage residents, staff, family, and friends to participate in group and one-to-one activities
  • Organize events such as:
    • Arts & crafts
    • Games and music sessions
    • Reminiscence therapy
    • Gentle exercise
    • Outings
  • Collaborate with care staff to ensure all activities consider health, mobility, and individual requirements
  • Maintain records of activities, participation levels, and individual preferences
  • Ensure all activities are risk-assessed and comply with health and safety guidelines

Requirements

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or in a care or support environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity, enthusiasm, and a caring, patient attitude
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
