Activities Coordinator

Activities Coordinator Contract

Location Kirkcaldy, East Central Scotland

Type Contract

Rate £13.08 per hour 24 hours per week | 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full time)

About the Role

Our residential, nursing, dementia & respite care home in Kirkcaldy provides a home-like environment for 60 residents, fostering independence, social interaction, and well-being.

As our Activities Coordinator, you’ll:

  • Deliver engaging, meaningful, person-centred activities to enhance quality of life.
  • Plan and facilitate a varied programme of group and one-to-one sessions, tailored to individual preferences and abilities.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, ensuring their interests and care needs shape activities—especially for those living with dementia.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to create an active, stimulating, and inclusive environment for 60 residents to feel valued and connected.

What We Are Looking For

  • A creative, organised, and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience (or interest) in planning and delivering stimulating activities.
  • A genuine passion for supporting older adults.
  • Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in activities (or similar roles) is beneficial but not essential. Consider candidates with transferable skills from:
    • Hospitality
    • Events management
    • Childcare
    • Community work
