Activities Lead
Lighthouse Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose-built 80-bed care home in New Brighton, Merseyside, delivering high-quality residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care within a warm, supportive, and person-centered environment.
Activities Lead Contract
- Hourly Rate: £13.71 per hour
- Hours: Contracted to 40 hours per week
- Benefits: Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks (based on a full-time contract)
Role Overview
As Activities Lead, you will take responsibility for developing and delivering a high-quality, engaging, and person-centered activities program. The role plays a key part in enhancing wellbeing, promoting independence, and creating a positive, stimulating environment.
- Plan and lead both group and one-to-one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities, and care needs, including those living with dementia.
- Build strong relationships to deliver meaningful and inclusive activities that encourage participation and social interaction.
- Work closely with the Home Manager and the wider team to ensure activities are well-organized, consistent, and aligned with individual care plans.
- Maintain accurate records and continuously review and improve the program to ensure it remains engaging and effective.
- Work alternate weekends.

What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in an Activities Coordinator or similar role is essential.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging activities and events.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Confident, creative, and proactive approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia.
