We are looking for a Therapy Coordinator to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Harrogate. You will be working 30 hours per week (Tuesday to Friday, 12–8pm).
About the Role
This is a long-established mental health hospital that provides an emergency admissions service across two acute wards. The service has a comprehensive Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), including:
- Consultant psychiatrists
- Doctors
- A therapy team including group and activities coordinators and nursing therapists
- A wide range of therapies for service users, with everyone guaranteed a minimum of 25 hours’ therapy per week

The team collaborates closely with service users, their families, and referrers to ensure a seamless pathway from referral to discharge.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist the Occupational Therapist in supporting patients by:
- Encouraging patients to engage in a variety of activities while preserving existing hobbies
- Planning and implementing therapy programs, ensuring all necessary materials are available
- Contributing creative ideas
- Facilitating events and activities in a safe manner
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities
- Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy
- A creative flair and the ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
- An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)

Additional Requirements:
