At Bupa, we’re driven by one mission: “We make health happen.” In this part-time Activity Coordinator role at Middlesex Manor, you’ll bring joy, connection, and creativity to our residents’ lives.
Every day as an Activity Coordinator, you’ll be the chief fun officer—organising lively events that spark laughter, friendship, and shared memories. Whether it’s arts & crafts, baking, book clubs, or even a pub quiz, you’ll craft experiences tailored to our residents, ensuring their daily routines are filled with engagement, independence, and happiness.
Activities aren’t just about entertainment—they’re therapeutic. From chair-based exercise, meditation, to wellbeing classes, we design programs that support physical and emotional health, helping residents thrive.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
- Running structured activity sessions (morning/afternoon)
- Planning and updating an activity calendar, managing a set budget efficiently
- Co-ordinating birthday surprises, reminiscence sessions, and one-to-one chats (e.g., puzzles, reading, or tea-time chats)
- Collaborating with local performers, artists, or community groups to organise outings and events
- Boosting the care home’s social media presence (as needed)

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging activities (e.g., arts & crafts, music sessions, gardening, games)
- Plan a monthly activity programme that aligns with residents’ interests and well-being priorities
- Budget management for activity resources and events
- Organise social events (e.g., resident outings, talent evenings, seasonal celebrations)
- Liasise with residents, care teams, and external suppliers to enhance the Golden Home experience
- Support staff training on innovative engagement techniques
- Maintain accurate records of participation, feedback, and event outcomes
- Partner with local councils, volunteer groups, and performers for community connectons

Required Skills & Qualifications
Ideal candidates will combine:
- A creative mind with a knack for generating fun, inclusive activities
- Strong organisational skills, budgeting, and prioritisation ability
- Empathy and adaptability, with a passion for person-centred care
- Clear communication skills (both verbal and written) for liaising across teams
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, team activity planning software)
- A pro-active attitude, able to spread positivity in hectic environments
