About The Role
We make health happen
At Bupa, we support those during their most vulnerable moments. Our care homes are dedicated to delivering person-centred care, promoting independence, and respecting individual choices to help residents live fulfilling lives.
An Activity Coordinator is like the chief fun officer – bringing energy and joy to our residents’ days. They plan exciting events and activities, such as:
- Arts and crafts
- Baking
- Book clubs
- Pub quizzes
The role involves creating tailored activity plans that cater to every resident, whether it's gentle exercise or a garden party. Coordinators foster community, laughter, and shared connections while ensuring activities are both enjoyable and therapeutic, from meditation to wellbeing classes.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll help us make health happen by:
- Running morning and afternoon activity sessions.
- Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, aligned with a set activities budget.
- Organising birthday surprises and special celebrations for residents.
- Liaising with external vendors (e.g., local performers) to arrange outings and events.
- Running one-to-one sessions with residents, including memory-preserving activities (e.g., reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading), or simply chatting over a cup of tea.
- Supporting the home’s social media channels as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
