Activity Coordinator

Activity Coordinator From £12.71 per hour up to £15.03, 40 hours per week at Castle View in Dorchester, Dorset We are offering a £1000 welcome bonus if successful in this role! We’re looking for a warm, creative, and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our care home team. This is a rewarding role where you’ll play a big part in making each day enjoyable, meaningful, and fulfilling for our residents. What You’ll Be Doing Creating a varied calendar of activities that reflects our residents’ interests – from arts and crafts to quizzes, gardening, music, gentle exercise, and special events. Supporting residents on minibus trips which can involve personal care. Supporting residents one-to-one as well as in group settings, making sure everyone feels included and valued. Building strong relationships with residents, their families, and friends to really understand what brings them joy. Bringing the local community into the home by arranging visits, outings, and special guests. Working closely with the care team so activities are a natural part of daily life. Completing administration tasks to ensure our record keeping is kept up to date. Working with the team to create visuals for our marketing team of all the amazing work the team does. About You Friendly, approachable, patient and bursting with enthusiasm. A good communicator who enjoys chatting and listening to people’s stories. Creative with plenty of ideas for fun, stimulating activities. Organised and confident at planning events and encouraging others to get involved. Strong IT skills Above all, someone who genuinely cares about making a difference to our residents Bonus points if you have any hidden talents! Musical instruments? Theatrical talents?
