Activity Coordinator – Part Time
Location: Elm Grove Care Home, Somerford Rd, Cirencester GL7 1TX CQC Rating: Good | Carehome.co.uk Rating: 9.8/10 Salary: £13.10 – £14.10 per hour (experience-dependent) Contract: Permanent, Part-time (19 hours per week, including flexible weekends)
About the Role

At Bupa, we deliver person-centred care—supporting independence, honouring choice, and fostering connection through meaningful activities. As an Activity Coordinator, you’ll:
- Design engaging sessions ranging from arts & crafts, baking, and book clubs to pub quizzes and garden parties
- Collaborate with residents, care teams, and the local community to craft tailored activity plans
- Make a therapeutic difference through enjoying activities like meditation, storytelling, and wellbeing classes

Key Responsibilities
Activities & Engagement
- Lead morning and afternoon activity sessions
- Create and update a daily/weekly activity planner (with a set budget)
- Organise resident celebrations (birthdays, surprises, milestone gatherings)
Community & Partnerships
- Work with external performers, local businesses, and cultural organisers to plan special days or outings
- Represent the home on social media (when required)
