Actuarial Analyst

Actuarial Analyst – Reserving

About the Role

We're seeking an Actuarial Analyst/Actuary to join a high-performing reserving team supporting specialty insurance and reinsurance portfolios. This role offers broad exposure to quarterly reserving, business planning, financial reporting, and portfolio performance while partnering closely with pricing, underwriting, and finance to influence key business decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Support quarterly reserving across specialty insurance and reinsurance portfolios
  • Develop reserve recommendations through analysis of claims, premium, and underwriting experience
  • Perform reserve movement, profitability, and actual vs. expected analyses
  • Partner with pricing, underwriting, and finance on business planning and forecasting
  • Support Lloyd's business planning, quarterly IBNR bookings, and GAAP reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve reserving processes and reporting

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in math, actuarial science, statistics, or another quantitative discipline
  • Progress toward ACAS, FIA, or equivalent actuarial designation
  • Property & Casualty insurance or reinsurance experience with exposure to reserving or financial reporting
  • Knowledge of actuarial reserving methodologies and loss development concepts
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency
  • Experience with Lloyd's markets or SQL is a plus.
