Actuarial Analyst
Actuarial Analyst – Pensions Consulting
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Actuarial Analyst to join a growing and innovative pensions consulting team. This role offers exposure to a wide range of actuarial, investment, and pension scheme advisory work, supporting trustees, sponsoring employers, pension protection organisations, and not-for-profit clients. You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment where professional development is actively supported through structured training, mentoring, and broad exposure across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the delivery of proactive, high-quality actuarial services across a portfolio of pension scheme clients
- Preparing actuarial calculations, member benefit calculations, and actuarial models
- Assessing the impact of demographic changes, legislation, and financial market developments on pension schemes
- Drafting reports, presentations, and technical client communications
- Participating in client meetings and developing strong stakeholder relationships
- Using innovative actuarial technology and analytical tools to assess risks and develop tailored solutions
- Supporting projects focused on process improvement and service innovation
- Developing specialist expertise in areas aligned with your interests and career goals

Requirements
- Honours degree (2:1 or above) in a science-based subject
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of UK Defined Benefit pension schemes and the regulatory environment (desirable)
- A-Level Mathematics or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Experience working proactively, using initiative to manage and complete tasks
