Role: Actuarial Analyst / Junior Actuarial Financial & Reporting Associate
Overview
Supporting statistical and economic experience analysis, including:
- Assumption setting for solvency assessments
- Internal model calibration under Solvency II (UK adaptation)
- Reporting to regulatory governance
Key Duties
- Demographic & Economic Analysis: Analyze claim, investment, and general expenses
- Actuarial Judgment: Apply experience data to stress-test scenarios
- Regulatory Reporting: Maintain compliance with UK Solvency & Financial Conduct Authority rules
- Internal Model Monitoring: Adjust capital stress tests based on findings

Qualifications Required
Preferences for:
- Partially/fully qualified actuaries (e.g., CT2–4 outstanding or 1–3 years post-CT1/2)
- Technical knowledge of S Richardson & Assante Code and broader UK solvency laws

Experience Required
Internal client requirements:
- Strong adult support of earn-and-learn trainee Actuaries
- Senior-level delivery and stakeholder presentations to CRO-level (directorial) committees
- Independence to critically review methodologies, enhance reporting robustness
- Flexible technical adaptability across solvency, financial, and operational reporting
Candidate observable proactiveness in mastering new regulations or insurer-specific initiatives rewarded.
