Description
Capital Development Actuary. Develop the market-leading ICM (Igloo Capital Model), used by insurers and reinsurers around the world.
The Role
- Develop the market-leading ICM (Igloo Capital Model), used by insurers and reinsurers around the world
- Work with clients and other partners to design, develop and implement new technologies and statistical techniques
- Contribute to Igloo product development, working with the development team to shape the future of Igloo
- Be at the forefront of stochastic modelling with a broad and growing variety of applications
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
- Newly or nearly qualified actuary or equivalent
- Experience of capital modelling or reinsurance pricing
- Demonstrable interest in coding. Expertise in a coding language, preferably Igloo, Python or SQL.
- Excellent client relationship skills: ability to develop strong relationships quickly and maximize resources effectively to achieve goals
- Proven success working in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and self sufficient
- Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance-driven environment managing multiple deliverables
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong experience with applicant tracking systems
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a numerical based degree
