Manager - Pensions Consolidation Solutions As part of this role, you’ll be working in Isio’s Actuarial & Consulting team, consisting of over 400 pensions consultants and actuaries advising a diverse range of clients and stakeholders across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. We advise on everything from helping trustees and sponsors to manage their defined benefit plans, running large scale communications projects and implementing alternative reward and pension provision. The range of work we get involved with is vast and there’ll be opportunities for you to gain lots of great, new experiences and put your skills to the test. This role will be as part of the Enplan Team – Enplan is one of the fastest growing DB Pension consolidators in the market. The team are currently managing over 60 pension schemes of different shapes and sizes and continue to regularly attract new schemes. This is a great place to develop your actuarial career – whether that’s getting more client exposure or taking on Scheme Actuary appointments. It’s a fast-growing team and one that gives everyone the chance to influence how we develop the offering going forward. What's the role: We’re looking for qualified pensions actuaries with significant industry experience to join our team at the Manager level. As a challenger in the industry, we are looking for individuals with excellent pensions consulting and technical skills, a commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset. Day to day, you will be: Leading the delivery of actuarial advice to Entrust – this will include managing key client projects directly, or with support, and will include being responsible for managing timescales, stakeholders and budgets. As well as being involved in the technical aspects of projects, this will also involve working with and building relationships with Entrust and the scheme sponsors directly, working as part of a team and developing those around you. Enplan schemes vary significantly in size, therefore in your role, you will have numerous opportunities to engage and consult with schemes varying in asset size from as little as £1m to over £200m. Where is the role: The schemes within Enplan are serviced by a dedicated team within Isio with hubs based in Manchester and Scotland. Our Manchester team is the bigger of the two hubs with around 30 people supporting the proposition, including six Scheme Actuaries. The Manchester hub also includes 15 Actuarial Analysts and Assistant Managers whose role is to support the Managers. We work on a hybrid basis, offering the opportunity for colleagues to split their working time between working in the office and at home, it is expected that on average you will be in the office three days a week. Key Skills & Experience We’re looking for new colleagues with the following skills and expertise – but, please do apply if you don’t hit every requirement and still think you would be great for the role. Experience – a qualified actuary FIA/FFA or equivalent with relevant industry experience. A great communicator – someone who can explain complex problems in a simple way to help everyone around the table understand. Enthusiasm and motivation – a great deal of desire to solving problems and delivering excellent advice. Excellent project management and client delivery skills – especially when balancing multiple demands. A great team worker – this will either be as part of a team, or managing a team, depending on your experience. Commercial skills – to help us develop our business and look for new opportunities.
