The role
What will you be doing?
Location: Hybrid (London Or Dorking with at least 1 day in Dorking per week)
Unum UK is looking for an Actuarial Reporting Manager to join our team and play a key role in shaping our actuarial reporting and transformation agenda.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified actuary with a passion for financial reporting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. You’ll work across Solvency II, USGAAP, and UKGAAP reporting, while mentoring junior team members and driving innovation in actuarial processes.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage actuarial reporting activities, including Solvency II balance sheet, P&L results, and regulatory submissions.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear, concise financial insights and technical guidance.
- Communicate complex actuarial concepts in a clear and engaging way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Coach and mentor actuarial trainees, supporting their development and contributing to a high-performing team culture.
- Champion innovation in actuarial systems and reporting methodologies, helping us evolve and improve how we work.

About You
- A qualified actuary with strong experience (We are open to candidates from all backgrounds, Life, GI, Pensions etc)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into business narratives
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional working.
- A keen interest in finance transformation and process improvement.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and expert-level Excel proficiency.
- Experience with actuarial systems (e.g. RAFM, Unify) is a plus.
