Job Title

Project Delivery Manager - PLRe Technology

Job Description

The PL Re Technology function comprises globally distributed teams (Global Technology Solutions; Global Service & Infrastructure Management; Risk; Enterprise Architecture & Data; Information Security; and regional hubs) responsible for the design, delivery, management, and security of PL Re’s global applications and infrastructure.

The team delivers business-critical solutions (e.g., Underwriting, Claims, Pricing, and Actuarial applications) alongside enterprise platforms, maintaining high service and security standards across the UK/Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia.

Role Summary

We are strengthening Technology change delivery within an evolving Portfolio Management and governance framework and are seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to support delivery across the PL Re Unify Programme.

Unify is a multi-year transformation delivering a globally integrated, scalable operating model. It enables growth by modernising processes, improving data, and reducing operational complexity.

The programme will move PL Re from fragmented regional processes and legacy systems to standardised, end-to-end ways of working, enabled by enterprise platforms and shared services. Aligned to Pacific Life’s Strategy Next, it supports growth while maintaining strong governance in a regulated environment.

This role is central to enabling successful delivery - supporting realistic planning, managing dependencies, and ensuring predictable outcomes aligned to programme releases.

This is a senior, delivery-focused role requiring strong judgement, facilitation skills, and credibility with senior stakeholders. You will play a key role in improving portfolio maturity, planning discipline, and delivery execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Technology interface to the Unify Programme, ensuring alignment across teams, dependencies, risks, and release objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of medium to large technology projects, managing scope, timelines, budget, resources, and risks.
  • Operate within Portfolio governance, ensuring robust reporting, RAID management, change control, and delivery transparency.
  • Partner across Technology, Architecture, Data, Security, and Programme teams to align planning, design, and execution.
  • Support planning cycles, roadmap development, and prioritisation, providing clarity on capacity and sequencing.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery discipline, transparency, and ways of working.
  • Manage stakeholder and vendor relationships, ensuring delivery commitments and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Coach and support project and portfolio teams, contributing to delivery capability and PMO maturity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
