It is an exciting time to be part of the NHS Alliance
Against a backdrop of transformation across the healthcare sector, we are shaping an organisation that speaks with clarity and credibility on behalf of all its members. Our ability to advocate for change and influence decision making, as well as supporting our members to improve their services, is key to ensuring the NHS delivers better outcomes for patients and communities.
We are seeking an exceptional leader to take on a high-profile, system-shaping role as Acute and Ambulance Network Director.
This is a rare opportunity to shape how acute and ambulance services are represented, supported and influenced at a national level.
As a visible and credible ambassador for the sector, you will operate at the heart of policy, partnership and public debate - working with government, arm’s length bodies and system leaders to ensure that frontline realities shape national decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
