Acute Team Dietetic Support Worker

Nutrition and Dietetics Team – Full-Time Dietetic Support Worker at Dorset County Hospital

About the Role

Join the forward-thinking, positive, and friendly Nutrition and Dietetics team at Dorset County Hospital (Dorchester) as a Full-Time, Permanent Dietetic Support Worker. You’ll work within the established Acute Dietetic team, supporting adult patients under the supervision of Dietitians, delivering high-quality care in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to patients in the wider Acute Dietetic team
  • Work under the guidance of Dietitians to deliver tailored nutritional care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a professional and interprofessional manner

Person Specification & Essential Requirements

We’re looking for an individual who:

  • Has worked in a team environment, demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Possesses excellent IT and organisational capabilities
  • Can proactively approach work with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
  • Most importantly: Experience of – or volunteering in – a healthcare setting is mandatory
  • Displays a caring nature and exceptional interpersonal skills, as this role involves close interaction with patients and healthcare colleagues
