⭐Additional Learning Support Funding and Contracts Leader⭐
We are looking for an experienced and driven Additional Learning Support Funding & Contracts Leader to play a pivotal role in ensuring learners with additional needs receive the resources they deserve.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with expertise in SEND and learning support funding for High Needs Learners, Apprentices and Adults and compliance to work alongside the SENDCO to deliver key operational processes that directly impact student success.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the College maximises and secures Additional Learning Support (ALS) funding while maintaining full compliance with SEND legislation, national regulations and local authority requirements.
Working closely with curriculum teams, local authorities and support services, you'll ensure robust systems are in place to evidence support provision, monitor funding claims to ensure excellent outcomes for learners with additional needs is achieved.
This is a role where your expertise will help shape the College's inclusion strategy while ensuring every learner receives funding for the support they need to thrive.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for the line management of a group of the Additional Learning Support team and Student Services Administrator in accordance with their contract of employment and college policies and procedures.
- Leading the delivery of ALS funding and income targets
- Developing and maintaining systems that accurately capture and evidence learner support for funding purposes.
- Working with, the SENDCO Heads of Department and Course Leaders to ensure robust tracking, auditing and reporting of support provided
- Managing relationships with local authorities and working with the SENDCO to plan provision based upon the EHCP consultation processes.
- Ensuring funding applications, claims and contractual requirements are completed accurately and on time
- Coordinating Exam Access Arrangements in line with regulatory requirements
- Providing SEND compliance assurance and audit reports to senior leaders and governors
- Supporting the ongoing development of the College's Inclusion Strategy
- Work alongside the SENDCO to drive continuous improvement to ensure learners with additional needs receive exceptional support

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five GCSEs, including strong literacy and numeracy skills at Level 2 or above, and hold a Level 3 qualification in Senior Teaching or as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). A qualification in a SEND-related area is essential, alongside proven experience of working with learners who have additional needs.

In this role, you will be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and have a keen eye for detail when monitoring funding claims, evidencing support and ensuring compliance. Experience or knowledge of Exam Access Arrangements would be advantageous, as would a commitment to continuous improvement and developing inclusive practices that enhance the learner experience across the College.
