About the Company
Adept Security Systems Ltd provide professional, nationwide fire alarm and security systems for a wide range of clients including Education, Property management, Retail, and Commercial sectors.
With operations based in Wolverhampton, their skilled and experienced network of engineers across the UK are dedicated to protecting people and property from the risk of theft and fire.
Job Description
Due to company growth, Adept Security Systems Ltd are now looking to employ a brand new apprentice to join their team!
You will be working alongside an experienced Engineer to install and maintain the following systems:
- Access Control
- CCTV
- Intruder Alarms
- Fire Alarms
Entry Requirements
- A driver's licence is preferred; if you don't have this, you will be expected to obtain one before the end of the apprenticeship.
- Ideally live within Wolverhampton, or within a reasonable commute.
- Experience with electrics, or an electric-related qualification would be a bonus, but not essential.
- Genuine interest in learning more about the wider fire and security industry.
- Wanting to start a long career in the fire and security industry.
- Technically minded, with solid IT skills.
- Happy to attend Skills for Security's Walsall training centre one full week in every 8 weeks for block release classroom training.
- Presentable, with great customer service.
- Able to pass an enhanced criminal background check.

Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training.
You’ll train through block release at our Walsall center, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday).
You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
What you’ll do as part of the programme:
- Train hands-on with real systems
- Learn from industry experts
- Complete a wide range of tasks and projects
- Build evidence from your job to support your learning
- Sit annual assessments at the centre
