ADHD Assessor

As an ADHD Assessor, you will play a key role in delivering neurodevelopmental assessments for individuals referred to us at The Owl. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred assessments and support positive outcomes for clients and families.

You will conduct ADHD assessments, developmental case history interviews with patients and families to achieve outcomes in line with clinical guidelines, ensuring reports and recommendations are clear, evidence-based, and completed to a high standard. You will contribute to maintaining excellent clinical standards while supporting the continued growth and reputation of the service.

What you'll be doing:

• Conduct comprehensive and detailed developmental case history interviews with clients and/or relatives and where relevant, schools or other informants using tools like ACE and DIVA 5 to support ADHD assessments to reach an evidence-based understanding that inform diagnosis.
• Liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to formulate and reach an understanding of an ADHD assessment to provide evidence-based outcomes using shared formulations and incorporated perspectives to provide a formal diagnosis.
• Independently manage your own caseload, understand your work in progress and manage KPIs by task prioritisation, escalating risks or delays promptly to ensure timely assessments and meeting service performance.
• Uphold excellent client and staff experiences through maintaining high-quality and thorough assessment services, providing clear communication to foster trust, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
• Engage in clinical supervision, 1:1, and performance review cycles to have access to professional and emotional support when/if required by attending regular sessions, discussing concerns to maintain safe practice and enhance clinical effectiveness.
• Complete required administrative responsibilities which include case note record keeping, incident updating, report completion, and risk assessment by documenting clearly following guidelines to ensure accurate records that support continuity of care, safety, and compliance.
• Maintain adherence to clinical standard operation procedures by following current pathways and requirements to support service delivery.
• Engage in regular professional development offerings, including CPD sessions, forums, and training sessions offered to further career growth and keep up to date with compliance standards to keep skills current and uphold regulatory and service standards.
