ADHD Nurse Prescriber Vacancy
We are seeking ADHD Nurse Prescribers to support our core clinic hours of 09:00–17:30, working Monday–Friday. However, our service runs 7 days a week, and variations to your working days can be considered based on your availability.
Flexible contracts (full-time or part-time) are considered across various hours:
- Full-time: 37.5 hours per week (minimum equivalent of 22.5 hours)
- Hybrid / remote working options available.
For nurses willing to commit 40% of their time to face-to-face clinics in Canterbury or Basingstoke, we offer a £5,000 pro rata salary uplift.
About The Role
The ADHD Nurse Prescriber will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and treating ADHD
- Managing medication and ensuring clients receive appropriate care
- Working within guidelines, multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining records

Core responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough ADHD assessments and diagnosing where evidence supports a diagnosis, clearly communicating findings and producing detailed reports.
- Completing comprehensive client reviews, offering holistic, patient-centred care, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
- Initiating, titrating, and discontinuing ADHD medication (both stimulant and non-stimulant) as appropriate.
- Managing client caseloads, ensuring adherence to Psicon’s protocols and NICE guidelines.
- Generating and monitoring prescriptions, reviewing their effectiveness, appropriateness, and safety over time.
Person Specification: Requirements
- Professional experience in the field, including handling crisis situations.
- Qualified Mental Health Nurse (NMC-registered) with an independent non-medical prescribing qualification (V300).
- Maintained current NMC registration and validation.
- Specialisation or experience in ADHD assessment and treatment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated expertise in multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Compliance with company policies (e.g. up-to-date DBS, NMC verification, and relevant training compliance).
