Adjunct Instructor in Economics – Pensacola State College

About the Role

The Business Department at Pensacola State College seeks qualified Adjunct Instructors to teach college-level Economics courses in multiple formats:

  • Face-to-face
  • Live online (via Zoom)
  • Asynchronous online

Adjunct instructors are responsible for:

  • Teaching assigned Economics courses
  • Developing and implementing curricula
  • Assessing student learning
  • Participating in program evaluation
  • Adhering to Collegiate and departmental standards

This position reports to the Department Head, Business.


Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate with a master’s degree from an institution accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized body (or meet hybrid criteria: a master’s degree + 18 graduate hours in Economics)
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency with the technology required for assigned courses
  • Passing results of a background check
  • Compliance with Florida Statute § 435.04(2), enforcing employment eligibility requirements and background investigations

Salary Range (Hourly)

Adjunct instructors are compensated based on degree level:

  • $35.00 per hour – Master’s Degree
  • $38.00 per hour – Doctorate
