Adjunct Paralegal Studies Instructor
Job Description

The Business Department offers college-level Paralegal Studies courses in the following formats:
- Face-to-face
- Live online via Zoom
- Asynchronous online
Adjunct instructors will:
- Instruct students
- Develop curricula
- Assess student learning
- Participate in program evaluation
- Maintain College and department standards
This position reports to the Department Head, Business.
Minimum Qualifications
To teach college-level courses, the successful candidate must:
- Graduate from an institution holding accreditation recognised by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College, with either:
- A master’s degree in the field, or
- A master’s degree and 18 graduate hours
- Successfully pass a criminal background check
- Be capable of using and demonstrating proficiency with technology required for assigned course(s)

Salary Range
Adjunct Faculty are paid on an hourly basis, with the following degree-based rates:
- Master’s Degree: $35.00/hour
- Doctorate: $38.00/hour
Note: This position is part of an open applicant pool. Hiring is conducted by the department on an as-needed basis.
Background Screening
Pursuant to College policy, applicants must comply with §435.04(2), Florida Statutes, pertaining to background investigations.
Any candidate failing to meet statutory requirements will be deemed ineligible. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check is mandatory and will be conducted on all successful candidates as a condition of employment.
Note: Failure to disclose adverse information from a background investigation at the time of applying will result in disqualification from employment.
