Adjunct Radiography Instructor – Health Sciences Department
Location: Pensacola State College (various campuses) Department: Health Sciences (Allied Health) Employment Type: Adjunct (On-Demand) Salary Range:
- Bachelor’s Degree or less: $32.00/hour
- Master’s Degree: $35.00/hour
- Doctorate: $38.00/hour

About the Role
The Health Sciences Department delivers college-level Radiography instruction in the following format:
- Face-to-face
- Adjunct instructors will engage students through course teaching, curriculum development, assessment, program evaluation, and maintaining college/department standards.
This Adjunct Instructor role reports directly to the Department Head, Allied Health.
Adjuncts who serve as clinical preceptors are expected to:
- Maintain alignment with program mission and goals
- Understand clinical objectives and the evaluation system, assessing students’ clinical competence
- Provide clinical instruction, supervision, and support to students
- Participate in aspective assessments, including monitoring student progress, policies, and compliance
- Stay current with program procedures and enforce them as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education: An Associate’s degree in a qualifying health sciences field (e.g., Radiography, related Allied Health)
- Certification:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (required)
- Meniscus/Oارةtiff compliance with state law (Florida § 435.04(2))
- Technical Competency:
- Proficiency in instructional technology for assigned coursework
- Background Checks:
- Successful completion of a criminal background screen (required)
- Mandatory Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)-approved check for all candidates
Key Responsibilities
✔ Teaching duties in Radiologic Technology program (delivering lectures, labs, and course materials) ✔ Curriculum development and revision aligned with program goals ✔ Assessment duties (designing exams, evaluating student work, and maintaining academic standards) ✔ Clinical preceptorship (supervising students in practiced environments, if applicable) ✔ Program compliance (ensuring adherence to department, college, and state standards) ✔ Professional development (ongoing training in program policies, technologies, and best practices).
