Job title: Administrative Assistant

Salary: SCP 5 (£25,583) - 9 (£27,254) + wellbeing cash plan + pension scheme (LGPS) + additional Lift Schools benefits

School: Lift Ryde, Pell Lane, Ryde, Isle Of Wight, PO33 3LN

Hours: Full time, term time + inset days, 08:00-16:00 Mon - Thu and 08:00-15:30 on Fri

Contract type: Permanent

Start: September

Your new school

Lift Ryde, based on the Isle of Wight, is an 11 to 18 years secondary school and is part of Lift Schools, one of the largest MATs in the country. The school is set in spacious grounds and had a completely new state of the art building in 2017. All staff have access to a free on-site gym with a range of fantastic equipment. Known as the “Garden Isle” because of its beautiful landscape, unspoilt beaches, rugged coastline, and beautiful countryside. Judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2022, Lift Ryde is a school that pupils feel proud to attend, with a calm and orderly environment. Staff are also proud to work at the school and recognise that leaders are considerate of their workload.

Your new role

The role of the Administrative Assistant is to be a core component of the administrative team, providing effective and efficient administrative support which is essential for the smooth running of the school. The role is responsible for managing communications with stakeholders, maintaining records, coordinating arrangements for events or meetings, providing reception support, managing academy resources and supplies, and compiling reports. Additionally, they may support other administrative staff, such as the School Operations Manager, in specific school projects.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Experience of working in a customer-facing role in an office environment with good IT skills.
  • Organised and adaptable with good administrative skills and knowledge and use of general office equipment.
  • Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and a passion for working with and supporting children.
