Admin Assistant
St Mary Cray | £28.4k - £32.7k per annum (Dependent on skills & qualifications)

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join our Operational Support function. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, supporting teams who help keep our network running safely and efficiently.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our teams by providing high-quality administrative support, accurate reporting, and reliable coordination. You’ll be joining a friendly and collaborative team where your contribution will make a real difference.
I help to keep people safe and warm by…
- Supporting the scheduling and coordination of operational activities, meetings, and team resources
- Maintaining and updating plans and operational documents using our internal systems
- Compiling and validating operational data for internal reports and dashboards
- Ensuring accuracy and consistency of information across systems and documentation
- Preparing, printing, and collating documents such as work packs and compliance records
- Managing digital and physical filing systems in line with SGN standards
- Handling day-to-day admin tasks including correspondence, record keeping, and ordering office supplies
- Assisting the wider team with ad-hoc operational support as required

What You’ll Need
- The ability to communicate effectively and politely, both verbally and in writing, with employees, managers, and customers within and outside the Company.
- A neat and accurate working style, along with strong computer literacy, ideally with competence in Microsoft software packages such as Word and Excel.
- The ability to prioritise and manage your time and workload and be able to work as part of a team.
- A keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Preferred, but not essential: Previous administrative experience, ideally within utilities, engineering, or operational environments.
