Administration Assistant

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide general administrative and financial support across Family Hubs services. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide a high-quality, positive customer experience as the first point of contact for families and partners to Family Hubs and Outreach Hubs.
  • Undertake reception duties, including:
    • Answering general telephone and face-to-face enquiries.
    • Signing in visitors as part of safeguarding arrangements.
  • Assist with the welfare of children by providing effective liaison, as necessary, with parents/staff.
  • Make arrangements for:
    • Events.
    • Partner bookings.
    • Parent carer panels (e.g.).
  • Perform the following administrative tasks:
    • Note-taking.
    • Mail distribution.
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities, and your position within them.

About You

Candidates should have:

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to use relevant office equipment.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to relate effectively to children and adults.
  • General clerical/administrative/financial work experience would be beneficial.
  • Ability to identify personal training and development needs.
