Administration Assistant – Customer Service Support

ALS Laboratories Location: ALS Coventry

About the Role

ALS Laboratories are seeking an Administration Assistant to support the Customer Service department at ALS Coventry. This role involves assisting with sample pre-registration, collections, deliveries, and customer enquiries to ensure satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Ideally, you’ll have experience in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-register samples for customers and arrange collections/deliveries
  • Inputting, maintaining, and analysing data using Excel
  • Booking sample collections and bottle deliveries
  • Responding to customer queries with appropriate information referral to relevant teams
  • Detecting and reporting customer-related anomalies accurately
  • Handling customer service phone support
  • Aiding in result reporting and generating credit notes/structured invoices
  • Assisting with ad hoc duties to maintain business directives

Hours & Employment Type

  • Full-time permanent role
  • Hours per week: 37
  • Working days: Monday to Friday
  • Annual salary: £25,879 (competitive package available)
  • Closing date for applications: Thursday 9th July 2026

Essential Requirements

✔ Experiential focus on office administration, ideally in a commercial setting ✔ Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills ✔ Excellent written and verbal communication ability ✔ Proficiency with IT systems, notably Microsoft Office ✔ A flexible, proactive mindset to support teamwork and cover shifts ✔ Commitment to establishing and upholding best practices in customer service
