Highdown School and Sixth Form

Highdown School and Sixth Form are looking for an Administration Assistant to provide efficient and effective support as a member of our school’s administration team for 3 days per week.

Your Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to promote a professional and friendly point of call to all parents and visitors to our school reception and this varied role will incorporate elements of admissions and finance as well as supports school communications and events.

What We Are Looking For

  • Office experience (in a school would be desirable but not essential)
  • Strong admin and organisational skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Clear, professional communication
  • Reliable, proactive, and discreet
  • Friendly and welcoming manner
  • Committed to safeguarding practices

The Details

  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Salary: Associate 3.1 £25,001— 3.9 £26,782 FTE (actual £14,476 - £15,507)
  • Working pattern: 22.5 hours per week to be worked Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8.15am to 4.15pm
  • Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent. 42 weeks per year (term time + 3)
  • Closing Date: 17th July at 9.30am
  • Interview date: TBC
