Community Midwifery Administrative Assistant

Community Midwifery requires the support of an Administrative Assistant. We have 9 Community Teams that work across Derby City, Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The efficient running of these relies on administrative support.

About the Role

Community midwifery operates across several team bases throughout Derby City, Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

The successful applicant will be expected to be based at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital and support the others virtually, there may be some requirement to attend another site on occasion but this would be minimal.

The successful applicant would be expected to work closely with these teams and to support them with ordering stock requirements.

There are a number of databases that require monitoring and data input therefore confidence with IT skills and Excel are required.

Also a requirement to access patient systems and schedule appointments

Assist in any additional related project work as directed.

The role will have some requirement to manage diaries, take notes and send out agendas.

The postholder will not be under direct supervision at all times therefore working under own initiative is key.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
