At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
Eligible Candidates
This vacancy is currently open only to internal employees of the following organizations within the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System:
- North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust
- Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust
- University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, inclusive of Black Country Procurement Group and North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service
- Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board
About the Role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, efficient, and motivated individual to join our extremely busy administration team. You will be responsible for:
- Welcoming patients/visitors to The Heart & Lung Department
- Ensuring all cardiac investigations are logged/booked according to National Targets
You must have the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, work as a team player, and possess competent computer skills. A cheerful, flexible approach to the workload is necessary. This is a busy role that will involve multi-tasking with ever-changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Logging and booking diagnostic tests
- Managing diagnostic waits in accordance with National Targets and the Patient Access Policy
- Working on Reception, greeting and booking patients into the department, dealing with all queries, completing outcomes, and taking telephone calls
- Dealing with all patient telephone queries
Working Environment
You will work alongside the existing administrative and management team. A good understanding of Reception, managing clinics, and National Targets is required.
Ideal Candidate
This post is ideal for an individual with a strong administrative background who thrives in a team environment and has good organizational skills with a high level of computer literacy. They should also have good communication and prioritization skills. The successful candidate will also need to be able to work on their own initiative.
