We are looking for a Healthcare Administrator to join our dedicated Prison Healthcare Team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services within a secure environment.
As a key member of the administration team, you will provide efficient and effective clerical and administrative support to healthcare professionals, helping ensure that patients receive timely and coordinated care. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to contribute to a service that positively impacts people's health and wellbeing.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, has excellent organisational skills and takes pride in delivering a professional service. You will be joining a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in our care.
As a Healthcare Administrator, you will be at the heart of the healthcare service, providing essential support to both clinical and operational teams.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Acting as the first point of contact for prisoners accessing healthcare services and responding to routine healthcare enquiries.
- Providing healthcare reception and administrative support to ensure patients are directed appropriately and appointments are managed effectively.
- Processing and uploading clinical correspondence onto SystmOne.
- Supporting healthcare clinics by preparing appointment lists, clinical records and relevant documentation.
- Coordinating gate passes and access arrangements for external healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
- Collecting, sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintaining accurate healthcare records and ensuring information is handled confidentially and in accordance with data protection requirements.
- Working closely with healthcare staff to support the smooth day-to-day running of healthcare services across the establishment.
- Contributing to a positive patient experience by providing a professional, respectful and responsive service.
