Administrative Assistant – Private Wealth Team

A highly regarded law firm based in St Albans

About the Role

Are you an organised and proactive administrative assistant looking to develop your career within a professional and supportive environment?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly Private Wealth team at a respected law firm, with full training provided to help you grow in a long-term role within professional services.

As an Administrative Assistant, you’ll work closely with fee earners and support staff, providing vital administrative assistance to ensure the smooth operation of a busy Private Wealth department.

  • Salary: Up to £28,000, dependent on experience
  • Hours: Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (office-based)

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening new client files and supporting the client onboarding process
  • Processing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation
  • Managing electronic and physical filing systems
  • Archiving and retrieving client files
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post
  • Scanning, photocopying and document management
  • Typing and amending legal/financial documents
  • Diary management and appointment coordination
  • Communicating with clients and third parties via telephone and email
  • Updating internal case management systems
  • Providing additional administrative support as needed

What The Employer Is Looking For

  • Ideally previous administration experience, especially within professional services
  • Strong IT skills including:
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A professional and confident communication style
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • A proactive, flexible approach with a positive attitude
