Job Title: Tribunal Clerk - HMCTS PSR2 AO

Location: Manchester

Our Client, a reputable government department, is hiring for a Tribunal Clerk role based in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team supporting judicial hearings and delivering professional service to the judiciary and the public.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Processing all types of correspondence, both manual and electronic, in line with current guidance.
  • Updating appeals on the database accurately and promptly.
  • Interacting with other government departments, salaried, and fee-paid Judges/Members.
  • Clerking tribunal hearings across Manchester and surrounding areas, ensuring hearings run smoothly and on time.
  • Meeting and greeting Judicial panel members, customers, and representatives.
  • Managing hearing logistics, including recording proceedings and ensuring timely updates of outcomes.
  • Producing Decision Notices on the day and notifying First Tier Agencies of decisions.
  • Handling customer queries, explaining hearing processes, and providing excellent service.
  • Operating recording equipment (video/telephone) and assisting with administrative tasks such as photocopying and document collection.
  • Typing judicial notes onto templates for distribution.
  • Occasional travel to other tribunal locations such as Wigan, Stockport, Rochdale, and Bolton, with expenses reimbursed.
