Role Overview
Location: Henry Chadwick Primary School, Hill Ridware, Staffordshire
Salary: Grade 5 SCP 7-9 Full Time Equivalent Pay Range: £26,403 – £27,254 p.a. (Pay Award pending)
Actual Salary: £21,575.96 – £22,271.38 p.a.
- Working Weeks: 42
- Paid Weeks: 48.51
Contract Type: Part-Time, Permanent, Term-Time Only (38 weeks) + 4 weeks: 32.5 hours/week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.15am – 3.45pm (30-minute lunch break)
- Occasional evening meetings with Time Off in Lieu (with prior notice).
Start Date: 1st September 2026
About the School
Henry Chadwick Primary School is a small village school in Hill Ridware. Known for strong familial relationships, the Administration Officer will often be the first point of contact between families, staff, and the school.
Your role is key to supporting our visions and ethos, ensuring every child receives the best start to their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing the school office, including:
- Routine administrative tasks aligned with primary school operations
- Data entry for HR, financial, and attendance records
- Maintaining digital and physical filing systems with precision
- Handling confidential information with strict discretion
- Supporting parent/carer communications, including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
- Contributing to the school’s strong pastoral ethos by assisting with pastoral and clerical duties where required
- Supporting the overall school vision and mission through positive teamwork & customer-focused service

- Demonstrated experience working in a primary school administration setting
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Clear, effective communication with staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders
- IT proficiency, including data processing, word processing, and digital record management
- Accurate attention to detail, ensuring policies, procedures, and deadlines are met
- Ability to work collaboratively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Essential Requirements & Attributes

- A GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (or strong functional skills equivalent)
- Confidentiality & discretion in handling sensitive information
- Experience navigating HR, financial systems, and administrative tools
- A positive, warm, and inclusive approach when engaging with families, staff, and the community
