Due to some upcoming parental leave we’re excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an Administration Team Leader to join Icon’s team at our site within St Andrew’s Private Hospital, Ipswich. In this key leadership role you will lead, mentor and support the administration team.

About the Role
As the Administration Team Leader, you will oversee the daily administrative operations of our cancer centre. You will lead a small, collaborative team and play a central role in ensuring patients receive efficient, seamless and compassionate support throughout their treatment journey.
You will work closely with the Administration Manager and clinical teams while contributing to continuous improvement across processes, workflows and patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support the Radiation Oncology Administration team
- Manage reception services and coordinate patient appointments
- Ensure accurate and compliant medical records management
- Oversee Medicare and private billing, including MBS items relevant to cancer care
- Provide training and development to administration staff
- Maintain a warm, professional and patient-centred environment
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery
About You
You are an organised and proactive leader who enjoys supporting others and taking ownership of efficient service delivery. You bring a positive team focus, a calm approach and a genuine commitment to excellent patient care. Experience in radiation oncology or high-care medical settings will be highly regarded, though not essential if you bring strong leadership and healthcare administration experience.

Skills And Experience
- Experience leading a team in a healthcare environment (preferred)
- Solid understanding of medical billing and Medicare requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to prioritise, manage time and work autonomously
- Commitment to continuous improvement and team development
