Location: Newcastle upon Tyne NE5 4LG

Salary: A GBP 29,064 : A GBP 31,022 per annum, pro rata. Actual salary A GBP 24,698.81 : A GBP 26,362.73 per annum.

Contract Type: Term:time only (Temporary)

Closing date: Wednesday 15th July 2026 (12:00pm)

Required for 1st September 2026 : Maternity cover

About the Role

Simonside Primary School is seeking to appoint an excellent Administrative and Attendance Officer. The governors and staff of this vibrant and welcoming primary school are seeking to appoint a hardworking and dedicated administration and attendance manager to work full time, term:time only. You will be required to work in the school office and respond to calls and parental queries.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive, professional attitude under pressure
  • Effectively manage the diverse demands associated with this role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and ability to use SIMs to complete attendance registers and some data analysis for attendance
  • Help drive up attendance across the school
