Job Description
Merit Tutors is expanding! We are searching for a committed, highly organised, and friendly Administrative Assistant to join our team across our East London branches.
If you are a confident communicator, excel at managing daily operations, and are looking for a supportive environment where you can build a long-term career, we would love to hear from you. You will play a vital role in welcoming families, managing day-to-day admin tasks, and ensuring our tuition centres run smoothly.
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Location: Must be a UK local, based within East London (Whitechapel, Forest Gate, Ilford, Plaistow, or nearby areas).
- Education: Must be a Graduate who has completed their degree (in any discipline or a relevant field). Please note: This role is for those who have already completed their graduation.
- Language Skills: Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written). Knowledge of community languages is a plus but not mandatory.
- Key Traits: Professional, punctual, well-organised, and confident when interacting with parents and students.

Key Responsibilities
Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Welcoming parents and students professionally at the centre.
- Managing daily admin tasks, including handling phone calls, enquiries, documentation, and scheduling.
- Supporting day-to-day operations to maintain a seamless learning environment.
- Working closely with the management and tutoring teams to drive success.
